Presco’s Pres-Flex Engineered Film Division is celebrating 40 years of extruding thin gauge vinyl film. It was the desire to vertically integrate the Marking Products line with in-house manufactured vinyl film in 1976 that pulled former President Earl McMackin and his son Waymon, to expand manufacturing capabilities.
In 1980, then-President Waymon McMackin expanded the extrusion division to supply outside companies with custom engineered vinyl film used in the manufacturing process of a variety of products.
Current Owner and CEO Joe Hardt explains,
“From our humble beginnings when the focus was on making our Texas brand roll flagging, to today, where our team satisfies the exacting requirements of our business partners in a variety of medical, military, and other industrial applications, has been quite a journey.”
Today, Presco’s Pres-Flex Engineered Film division supplies over 50 manufacturers with custom domestically produced vinyl film. “The talented team of chemical engineers, quality technicians, experienced operators and knowledgeable salespeople, coupled with the significant investments we have made in our extrusion plant and laboratory and testing facilities, make me confident that Presco’s best days lie ahead” says Hardt.
Presco was founded in 1943 by the late Robert “Earl” McMackin. The company extrudes PVC film and manufactures outdoor marking products in its two facilities in Sherman, TX.
